Server Limitations
What Rust Console community servers can and cannot do, and why some features work differently from PC Rust.

Rust Console Edition community servers have far fewer features than PC Rust servers. We can use the commands and server settings provided by Rust Console edition themselves, but many things are controlled by the game and cannot be changed by server owners.
This is why some features in the Aim Trainer may work differently than expected. For example, Gungame cannot remove individual weapons from a player. When you reach certain weapons, the server has to kill and respawn you with the next kit instead. This clears your old weapons before giving you the new ones.
What community servers cannot do (Aim Trainer Specific)
- Self host the server
- Remove individual items from a player's inventory
- Give players health
- Skip the respawn menu after a player is killed
- Add a custom HUD or personal messages
- Preselect skins when players spawn
- Spawn custom player or scientist entities
- Create custom maps
- See detailed combat information such as headshots, accuracy or which weapon was used
Community servers also have to be rebuilt during every force wipe. This is not something we control, and it can affect the server setup or cause temporary issues. The server provider can also have problems such as downtime, connection issues or other unexpected errors. These issues are outside of our control and can sometimes affect the Aim Trainer.
What community servers can do (Aim Trainer Specific)
- Teleport players
- Kill players through commands
- Give players kits and individual items
- Get player coordinates
- limited selection of entities to spawn
- Kick, mute and ban players
- Read basic join, kill and quickchat logs
These limitations apply to Rust Console community servers in general, not just NotGR4VE’s Aim Trainer. Because of this, server owners have to work around what is available and find different ways to build features.
