Gamemodes on NotGR4VE’s Aim Trainer
A guide to the static, rotation and special gamemodes available on NotGR4VE’s Rust Console Edition aim trainer.

NotGR4VE’s Aim Trainer has several different types of gamemodes. Some are always set up in one location with the same weapons and rules, while others change their map and objective each round. There are also special gamemodes with their own unique systems.
Static 24/7 gamemodes
Static gamemodes are always set up in the same location and are available to join at any time. The location, weapons and general setup stay the same, which makes them useful for practicing a specific type of PVP. For example, Launch Site is a large area with tier 3 weapons and many different angles to fight from. The Maze is designed for close range PVP and hip fire practice, while the large open snow areas are better for practicing long range fights while roaming.
Other static areas include Tier 2, Primitive, Oil Rig, Train Yard, Rooms and more.
Rotation gamemodes
Rotation gamemodes change throughout the day. Players are shown different map and objective combinations and can vote for which one they want to play next.
The current rotation objectives are:
- Free For All: The first player to reach the kill goal wins.
- Time Trial: Players have a limited amount of time, and whoever gets the most kills wins.
- Killstreaks: The first player to reach the required killstreak wins.
- Random Kits: Players receive a random kit when they spawn, and the first player to reach the kill goal wins. The available maps and objectives can change over time, so rotation gamemodes should feel different from one round to the next.
Gungame
Gungame uses a weapon progression system. Everyone starts with the first weapon and moves up the weapon ladder by getting kills. The final player to complete the ladder wins the round.
Scrims
Scrims are team based matches that you can play against friends or other players. They use individual scrim slots, allowing each match to have its own teams, settings, weapons, kits and armour. The Host Settings may be a little tedious to manage ingame by quickchats and custom zones, you might find it easier to use the discord's embed or websites admin panel that appear when linked and currently a host of a scrim slot.
King of the Hill
King of the Hill is based around controlling capture zones. Players fight over the active hill locations and earn points while controlling them. The round ends when a player reaches the score limit or when the time runs out. At least two players are needed for a round to begin.
Target Practice
Target Practice gives players their own individual practice slots. You can use the different targets and NPC stags to work on your aim without fighting other players. Each session has a time limit before you are returned to the lobby.
Gamemodes that are no longer available
Two older gamemodes have been removed for now:
- 1v1 Arenas: A progressive, ranked matchmaking system with best of three rounds. You earned scrap and trophies by playing and winning matches which you used to unlock new items, weapons and armour.
- VIP Escort: A team based mode where one team protected a VIP and tried to get them to an escape zone, while the other team tried to eliminate them.
More gamemodes and changes will be added over time as the aim trainer continues to evolve.
